Keyboard Shortcuts

Certum Draft has dedicated shortcuts for the dashboard, the matter workspace, and the Finder integration. Shortcuts are scoped to where they’re useful — a matter shortcut like ⌘S (save) only acts on an open matter, not on the dashboard.

Note

All shortcuts use the macOS modifier keys: ⌘ (Command), ⇧ (Shift), ⌥ (Option), ⌃ (Control).

App-wide

These shortcuts work anywhere in Certum Draft.

New PNM (⌘⇧P) only appears once the Notion Leads database is configured. See Potential New Matters for setup.

The same File-menu shortcuts work from the dashboard or with a matter open.

Matter Workspace — Navigation

When a matter is open, these shortcuts switch between the sidebar sections.

Note

Settlement and Institutions sections have no keyboard shortcut — they only appear on Purchase, Sale, and Lease matters, and are reached by clicking the sidebar item.

Matter Workspace — Actions

When a matter is open, these shortcuts trigger toolbar actions.

Save (manual flush)	⌘S	Auto-save fires 2.5s after the last edit; this is for an immediate save
Refresh Documents	⌘R	Re-scans the Working Documents folder
Close Matter	⌘W	Returns to the dashboard
Email Client	⌘E	Opens your mail app with a pre-filled subject
Copy Email Subject	⌘⇧E	Subject only — to the clipboard
New Document	⌘N	Launches the document wizard for this matter
Open Folder	⌘⇧O	Opens the matter folder in Finder
Copy Matter #	⌘⇧C	Matter number to the clipboard
Print Summary	⌘P	Print or PDF an A4 matter summary

Tip

Email vs Copy Subject: ⌘E launches your mail client. ⌘⇧E just copies the subject line — useful if you compose mail in a different app.

Finder Services

These shortcuts work in Finder once Certum Draft has launched at least once (so the Services are registered).
