Preferences Overview¶
Access Preferences from the menu bar: Certum Draft > Preferences (or press Cmd + ,)
Preference Sections¶
General¶
Basic application settings:
- Reset onboarding wizard
- Clear cached data
Matters¶
Configure how matters are numbered and folders are named:
- Number format - Choose between year-based or sequential numbering
- Next number - Set or auto-detect the starting number
- Folder naming - Customise the folder name format
Notion (Optional)¶
Connect to Notion for client and matter management:
- API token setup
- Database IDs for clients and matters
Coming Soon
Notion integration is a forthcoming feature and has not yet been fully tested. Use at your own risk. We recommend using local-only mode for production work until this feature is officially released.
Not Required
Notion integration is optional. Certum Draft works perfectly well in local-only mode, storing client details with each matter.
Paths¶
Set the locations for your matters and templates:
- Matters folder - Where matter folders are created
- Templates folder - Where your document templates are stored
License¶
Manage your Certum Draft license:
- View current license status
- Deactivate license (to enter a new one)
- See licensed email (if provided during activation)
Saving Preferences¶
Most preferences save automatically when you change them. For the Matters section, click Save Settings to confirm your changes.
